Our Commitment to Accessibility, Inclusion & Stewardship
At Anuttara, we believe yoga should be accessible to everyone. At Anuttara we bring this into action by opening doors where they’re often closed, giving back to our communities, and caring for the earth that sustains us.
Scholarships & Access
Every year, we dedicate a portion of our resources to scholarships for those historically underrepresented or excluded from traditional yoga spaces:

BIPOC Community

Parents & Caregivers
Scholarship opportunities for those raising children or caring for dependents.

Sliding Scale & Community Support
We often open sliding-scale pricing as often as possible to to make programs more accessible. Beyond tuition, we have organized fundraisers and community drives, such as raising money for oxygen supplies in India during COVID and continue to donate each year to organizations that align with our values of justice, compassion, and inclusivity.
Work-Study Opportunities
We know that not everyone can afford tuition, but many have gifts to share. Our Work-Study program allows students to offer work exchange for partial tuition credit:

Trainings & Courses
Work-study students may help with community support in WhatsApp, Zoom hosting, transcription, or outreach.

Retreats
In our in-person retreats we're often needing assistance for documenting via photos and video and tech support for recording classes.
Donation Matching
We invite our broader community to join us in widening access.
For every contribution made to our Scholarship Fund, Anuttara matches it dollar-for-dollar.
Alumni and friends are welcome to contribute, knowing their gift is doubled.
These funds directly cover scholarships for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and caregiver communities.

Anuttara’s Annual Support for
Pacific Wild
At Anuttara, our commitment to spiritual growth is deeply intertwined with our reverence for the natural world. Each year, we allocate a portion of our revenue to support Pacific Wild, an organization dedicated to protecting the ecosystems of British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest and the broader Pacific Northwest. Their work encompasses a range of initiatives, from safeguarding wildlife to preserving marine habitats, aligning with our values of interconnectedness and stewardship.
By contributing to Pacific Wild, we aim to honor the land and waters that sustain us, recognizing that true spiritual practice extends beyond the self to encompass all beings and the environment we share.

Trauma-Informed Spaces
Accessibility also means safety and belonging. All our programs are designed with trauma-informed principles and a commitment to inclusivity. Our aim is for every student to feel respected, welcomed, and supported in their practice.

Why This Matters
At Anuttara, we offer scholarships, work-study, sliding-scale tuition, donation matching, and environmental giving because we believe that spiritual practice should be accessible and integrated into everyday life. In Tantra, there's no separation between practice and life, self and other, human and earth. By extending access and care, we embody this truth.
